We’d like to take the time to congratulate Hannah on her fantastic work and achievement attaining a Silver Arts award.

Hannah experimented with a variety of different mediums during this project and as shown in these photos had a superb outcome.

Hannah was also able to show her planning and researching skills in this project.

Below is Hannah’s graphite drawing of a statue named “The Veiled Virgin” Hannah was able to use shading, lighting and tone to convey the way the statue has a ‘fabric’ quality for the veil. This was challenging as the statue itself is very intricate.

Through this Award Hannah showed her process and the development of her piece.

Also shown, are the poppies that Hannah crafted for this project, she sold these online to raise money for charities Royal British Legion and Animal Aid and also created a guide on how to make these poppies which was a fantastic way of teaching others this new skill.

Congratulations Hannah on your Silver Arts award we are very proud of your achievement.

The Arts Awards can often be a helpful option for mentees interested in exploring qualifications in addition to their regular MindJam sessions. The portfolio nature of the awards means that they can be flexibly explored without deadlines and that they can be tailored to any art form that the mentee is interested in. MindJam is a registered Arts Awards centre and we currently offer all levels of awards from the quick Discover certificate up to the Gold award that is worth 16 UCAS points.
