Hi! My name is Cameryn, but I also go by Cam!

Ever since I was young I always had a love for storytelling and games. When I was 14 I won the BAFTA Young Game Designer award for Game Concept (10-14). Since then I pursued this passion by creating indie games but also exploring different and smaller game engines to create personal projects such as visual novels and interactive fiction.

I pursue my love of storytelling through creative writing using my personal interests as my muse. I take inspiration from all of my interests: anime, manga, books, nature and manhwa (Korean comics). I also tell stories through collaborative means like Tabletop Role-playing games (TTRPG).

When I’m not writing or developing, I play video games. A lot of them. I love a good deckbuilder, visual novels and those difficult action games. My favourite game is Hades, followed by Slay the Spire and Splatoon 3. When it comes to multiplayer games, I love a casual game of Fortnite, getting lost in Minecraft or figuring out how to climb Peak.

I have a passion for learning, not only in learning new things about the world but learning new skills. Right now I’m trying to learn how to do video edits so I can have a new avenue of storytelling. As for what new thing I’m learning about, the deep ocean is a reoccurring topic.

I am enhanced DBS checked, and I also have a level 2 certificate in Understanding Autism. When I’m not mentoring for MindJam, I volunteer in my local SEN youth charities and help run events on the weekends and during half-term breaks.
