Sam B

Mentor

My name is Sam, nice to meet you!

I care deeply about creating safe, supportive spaces. My goal as a mentor is to help each person I work with to feel heard, understood, and emotionally supported. I am experienced in working with Autism, ADHD, PDA and for the past few years I have worked with people of all ages to build their confidence, develop life skills, and encourage their strengths through learner led activities.

I know the incredible difference it can make to have someone you can trust, who supports you and most importantly does not judge you for simply being yourself. As a mentor, I support children through video gaming as it is a love of my own, and I’m also keen to encourage creativity through digital and creative skills support.

I have certificates in safeguarding, online safety, data protection, understanding mental health and non-suicidal self-Injury, supporting people with Autism and ADHD and I hold Mental Health England First Aid accreditation. I have an Enhanced DBS and I am also a qualified Forest School Leader.
