Hey there! 

My name is Tom, a gaming fanatic with a BA(Hons) degree in media production from the University of Lincoln, and I specialise in digital media and game design.

I worked for several years in media and have experience with game modelling in Blender, video editing on Adobe Premier Pro, web/Graphic design in Illustrator and game-level design with Unreal Engine 5. I love to learn new skills and share my knowledge, so what better way than with Video Games?

I have played video games from a very young age and found them to be a fantastic outlet for young people to express themselves openly. Playing and understanding how they work helped me with my anxiety as a child and shaped me into the person I am today. Through this passion, I have made significant progress in my social life and built long-lasting and meaningful friendships.

I have experience working with children in childcare and being a volunteer leader for nursery schools, group camping and forest schools for children between the ages of 4 and 18. I am very open, empathetic and a fantastic listener. My work at MindJam allows me to use my knowledge to help others, build positive relationships and learn new skills together in constructive tailored one-on-one sessions. It is important to me to provide a non-judgemental space for young minds to have their voices heard and express how they feel. 

I’m enhanced DBS checked with fully up-to-date safeguarding training. Additionally, I’m certified in understanding Anxiety and Stress in children and young people, Data Protection and Online safety.  I have training and experience working with autistic young people, PDA, ADHD and SEN.
