I have had many roles in education throughout my career, as a Primary School Teacher, a SENDCo and Deputy Manager at a Pre-School, as well as working 1:1 with children and

young people with additional needs. I have worked with children and young people of all ages, supporting varying needs from ASD, PDA, ADHD, GDD, Visual and Hearing Impairments, to  Mental Health issues, Behavioural Difficulties and Trauma.

My warm and bubbly personality has helped many children and young people open up about their lives, and as a child at heart, I try my hardest to understand their viewpoints and am always ready to research and learn about their specific interests to help them feel cared for and understood.

I have completed research studies on the importance of using ICT and Computing for the inclusion of those with SEN, and found every time that using a medium which the children felt most comfortable with allowed them to achieve their best – whilst also getting the most enjoyment out of it.

I love getting to play numerous different games and trying out new genres, having found games to be a soothing comfort throughout hard times and day to day life. I truly believe my interest in computer games helped me develop many skills that I use every day throughout my personal life and career, helping me cope with the hectic world of being an adult!

I have a full DBS check, up to date safeguarding training and additional training including Autism Awareness, Pathological Demand Avoidance Training and SENCo Pathway.
