Luke Fraser

Mentor

I’m an artist, photographer, gamer, and former art teacher. I’ve been teaching for over 10 years in Thailand, South Korea and here in the UK. Throughout these years I have been fortunate to work with a range of students coming from different backgrounds, cultures, abilities, and needs. I am experienced in supporting students with ASD, ADHD, PDA, anxiety, trauma, and other issues.
Taking a student-centred approach is important in teaching creative subjects like Art. I really enjoy working with children, helping them to find and explore their interests and passions and grow their confidence.
I have always enjoyed gaming since I was young and got a GameBoy and N64. Some of my favourite games include Spore, Civilisation, Halo, Sims, Rollercoaster Tycoon, and racing games. I also enjoy Warhammer 40k, tabletop wargaming and painting miniatures and making models.
My other hobbies and interests include filmmaking, sci-fi books and films, story writing, playing guitar, making music, travel, and cycling. I also enjoy linguistics and learning new languages; I can speak conversational Thai and a little Korean.
I am fully DBS checked and have up to date safeguarding training as a former teacher. I have received training in online safety, child protection, mental health issues, the autistic spectrum and PDA.
