Mentor

I am a Games Art graduate with BA (Hons) in Games Art from the University of Bolton plus an Extended Diploma Level 3 distinction in Computer Games Design. I have training in supporting young people with Autism, ADHD and PDA, safeguarding, prevent, online safety and I am fully DBS checked.
Alongside MindJam I am an Apprentice teacher in a college where I teach a range of games development skills to college students. Examples of these skills are 3D Modelling, Unreal Engine Blueprints and Concept Art & Digital Graphics. Because of this, I have day to day experience teaching SEND students and children with EHCPs.
My interest and passion for helping young people who face barriers to learning comes from my cousin who is autistic. He found it challenging when trying to be understood in school. However, once he was communicated in a way that he understood and is comfortable with, he immediately started shining.
I began playing games from as young as 4 years old where I would try to steal the controller from my cousins when they were playing Crash Bandicoot on the PlayStation 1. Ever since then, gaming has been a huge part of my life.
