Hi, my name is George, I’m a graduate from the University of Gloucestershire with a degree in Computer games programming specialising primarily in the unity game engine and am always striving to further my skills and have begun to try and expand to areas such as 3D modelling in Blender. I’ve been working with SEN young people for many years, one of my jobs was as a play worker for a company where we enabled SEN children and young people to have a space where they can be social, interact with others with little pressure or expectations like the goal of Mindjam. I also have experience in education with SEN children volunteering and then working as a teaching assistant at a local school.
On a more personal level I have previously struggled with Anxiety and Depression, and fully understand just how vital it can be to have someone to talk to, and also how difficult it can sometimes be taking that step and opening up to others.
I am fully DBS checked and have completed training for safeguarding and Data Protection.
Gaming has also been a huge part of my life for the longest time my earliest memory is my parents getting their old N64 out and playing Ocarina of time on that for many hours, and I have interest in all manner of games and genres, from MMOs Like Final fantasy XIV, fighting games Like Blazblue, Shooters like Halo, RPGs like Baldurs gate and sandbox style games like Minecraft. My all-time favourite games/series include:
Fromsoft games (Dark & Demon souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro, Elden Ring)
And many more.
Outside of Gaming I enjoy walking, baking/cooking, watching YouTube and listening to music.
I am excited to be working for Mindjam and supporting others, thank you for taking the time to read this!
