Danny Knowles

I’m a Gamer, Dad of three, sports coach, Twitch streamer and content creator who has worked as part of an occupational therapy team within mental health hospitals for over 10 years. I’m experienced in supporting Patients with ASD, ADHD, PDA anxiety, trauma and other complex mental health needs. During my time working in mental health, I have found gaming is something the majority of my patients are very passionate about and have used gaming as part of therapy groups.

I am very passionate about encouraging children to be creative and follow their dreams. When providing support to children I think it’s paramount to offer a person-centred approach, as every child is different and has their own unique personality, needs and interests.

I’ve been gaming since I was old enough to hold a Controller (Thanks Dad!) and my first console was a Sega Genesis, my favourite game was Sonic the hedgehog and Street Fighter. Growing up I moved onto PC gaming and over the years my favourite games are Rocket League, Fortnite, COD Warzone, Cities Skylines, CSGO, World of Warcraft, Minecraft, and I’m always eager to play and experience new games.

In my spare time I coach my Son’s under 10s Football team, play rugby and for the last 4 years I’ve been streaming video games live on Twitch.

I am fully DBS checked, and have undergone full safeguarding training.
