As a seasoned game developer with 7 years of experience, I have honed my craft in the dynamic realm of game development, specialising in the use of Unity and contributing to the creation of engaging games for the PlayStation console and a variety of VR applications.
My educational foundation includes a BSc in Computer Games Design, providing me with a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of the gaming industry.
As well as coming from a game development background I have also spent time as student mentor with the University of Gloucestershire helping young people. In addition to working with MindJam I currently work within an Emerging Technology Lab within the exciting world of space, defence and intelligence.
My journey into the world of game development is deeply rooted in a childhood passion for gaming. I fondly recall the joy of embarking on quests in World of Warcraft, where friendships were forged and memories created. These early experiences not only fueled my desire to pursue a career in game development but also instilled in me the value of meaningful connections that can be fostered through gaming.
Beyond the technical aspects of game development, I am driven by a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others, particularly children with special educational needs. Recognizing the potential of games as powerful tools for learning and engagement, I am committed to leveraging my expertise to mentor and inspire young minds. My goal is to create inclusive and accessible gaming experiences that cater to diverse needs, fostering creativity and joy in the process.
With a unique blend of technical proficiency, a passion for gaming, and a commitment to education, I am excited about the prospect of contributing to the development and mentorship of children with special educational needs, utilising the transformative power of game design to make a lasting and positive impact.
