Oh Hello there! I’m Byron, I am a qualified animator and have worked in the mobile games industry and toy industry as a 3D Generalist. I also have experience with visual effects and video editing. I have years experience working with kids, hosting parties and entertaining children at a well known bear making toy shop! I myself was homeschooled and know the challenges that come with it, as well as being autistic myself and having to adapt and find ways to make it through my education I can relate to and help kids with similar issues.

My reasoning for partnering with Mindjam is that I know the benefits of gaming first hand, from using it to communicate and connect with my younger brother to playing Pokémon in Japanese to help learn the language! Games offer an escape and a way to develop skills and confidence and I strongly believe that gaming brings people together and teaches us valuable lessons. 

A little bit about what I do for fun, I am a big fan of roguelike games, my favourite being Slay the Spire! I also enjoy foraging for flora and fungi. I also like to make custom PBR textures in substance painter, collecting vinyls and playing board games! 

I am fully DBS checked, have safeguarding training as well as previous workings as a mentor and first hand experience with neurodiverse children.   I’m certified in understanding Anxiety and Stress in children and young people, Data Protection and Online safety.  I have training and experience working with autistic young people, PDA, ADHD and SEN.
