Mentor

Hi my name is Anabel,

I’m a 2D Character Artist, animator and anime enthusiast. I’m passionate about supporting children’s interests and discovering their talents through gaming and positive interaction. I’m excited to be joining the MindJam team.

In my previous occupation, I trained as a teaching assistant in SEN schools catering to the individual learning styles of autistic children and other neurodivergent children with ADHD and anxiety. As an Animation Production graduate, I’m skilled in traditional and digital design for animation and content creation for social media. I’m part of a large family, so looking after children comes naturally to me and I enjoy helping them grow into their own unique individual as my parents and siblings did for me.

Gaming has a special place in my heart because it helped me to be more confident in myself when I was an introverted teen during the pandemic. I’ve made lifelong friends from playing online with my peers which is why I love multiplayer games like Fortnite, Smash Ultimate and Animal Crossing. So I think it’s awesome that MindJam utilises safe online interactivity. Besides games, I love music, especially 80s and synthesised music like Vocaloid. I also enjoy singing and knitting cute plushies. I’m fully DBS checked and ready to make a positive impact on young people’s lives. I look forward to meeting you!

(Thanks Dan!)
