Mollie Bailee Blue
Mentor
Hi! I’m Mollie Bailee Blue (she/they 💛🤍💜🖤non-binary femme), and I’ve dedicated my life to exploring the weird and wonderful through art, design, textiles, and fashion!
My studies at De Montfort University and Leeds College of Art provided a strong foundation for my eight-year career in the fashion industry, where I built connections with other artists, suppliers, photographers, and stylists. My true passions lie in creating digital illustrations and paintings and bringing unique outfits to life in my sewing studio. When I’m not making IRL, you can find me in Stardew Valley, Tiny Glade or Minecraft building something awesome. I’d love to see what you’re building, too. ✨
I believe in sharing knowledge; I am always eager to dive into new video games, design software, and coding techniques to widen my skillset. I can’t wait to share my expertise to help you create whatever you dream of! I’ve helped friends master video editing, social media visuals, game concept art and character sheets. I’ve taught CAD (Computer Aided Design) to individual undergraduate students for their final projects and Viking-style hand sewing to a whole KS2 classroom; there’s nothing about fashion or digital art I don’t know and can’t adapt into a fun, engaging skill session for you. I change my skill sharing methods to suit you and your current skill levels, ensuring you have fun and feel supported while we experiment, hang out, game and play.
🧠As someone diagnosed with Combination ADHD as an adult, I deeply understand the challenges of navigating diagnosis, medication, masking, burnout, the awkwardness of socialising, and the journey to finding your true self. I’m here to help you discover and embrace self-care practices that resonate with your unique mind as we connect through the joy of painting, sketching, gaming, and heartfelt conversations.
Beyond my creative passions, my mentoring style is ‘curiosity-leads, knowledge-follows’. I believe in fostering an inspiring environment where your interests and questions guide our exploration. My goal with MindJam is to break down barriers, empower the next generation of creatives, and share my insider knowledge of the £124 billion UK creative sector, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to contribute. As a proud Yorkshire lass, I will always champion the principles of resourcefulness, fairness, and kindness in this endeavor.
