Adam Moore
Mentor
I’m a fully qualified Art and Design/Photography teacher with over 15 years of teaching experience in secondary education. Since 2009, I’ve worked passionately as a creative mentor, helping neurodivergent young people unlock their full potential. Few things are as rewarding as witnessing students gain confidence while discovering their talents.
As a Teacher and Head of Year, I’ve supported a diverse range of young people, including those with Autism and ADHD, as well as other needs. I established a popular after-school Art Club designed to help neurodivergent and SEN students build confidence, form connections, and develop a love for art in a welcoming environment. This club became the most attended in the school! I also collaborated with SENCOs to provide safe spaces for students facing mental health challenges.
Beyond teaching, I’m passionate about Art and Photography. As a professional photographer, I capture life’s celebrations – from weddings to proms – and love sharing my skills with others. Whether someone is starting out or refining their abilities in photography, image editing, or digital creation, I’m here to help. I’m well-versed in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom and hold a degree in Animation.
I am fully DBS-checked, with training in safeguarding, online safety, and GDPR/data protection.
Favourite Games
I’ve been an avid gamer since I first picked up a Sega Mega Drive controller at age five. Today, I’m the proud owner of a PS5 and Xbox Series S. My favourite games include series like Final Fantasy, Persona, Tekken, Yakuza, and Street Fighter, as well as titles like Kingdom Hearts, Mortal Kombat, Worms, Shenmue, and Ni No Kuni. I’m also a big fan of retro classics like Mario, Pokémon, Streets of Rage, Sonic, and any 2D fighter I can find.
Hobbies
Outside of teaching and gaming, I’m a snack enthusiast and love exploring delicious treats. I’m also a fan of manga and anime, and I enjoy spending quality time with my family. I’m a proud father of two wonderful daughters, and together we care for our fox-red Labrador, Summer, who loves beach walks.
